User Terms and Conditions
By using Almora, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Use of Service
Almora is a free service that allows users to view and share live streams. You may use the service for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for any content you upload or share on the platform, and you must ensure that it does not violate any laws or infringe on the rights of others.
2. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of any content you upload to Almora. However, by uploading content, you grant Almora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content in connection with the service.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities: (a) violating any applicable laws or regulations; (b) infringing on the intellectual property rights of others; (c) uploading or sharing content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate; (d) using the service for any commercial purposes without prior written consent from Almora.
4. Termination
Almora staff reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend your access to our services, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms and conditions, or any other conduct that we deem morally or legally inappropriate. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by contacting an administrator through one of our official channels (Discord, e-mail, GitHub, etc).
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Almora is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Almora makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Almora be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
7. Changes to Terms
Almora reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Your continued use of the service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
8. Feline Transparency Clause
All users, staff members, and contributors of Almora are required to be 100% transparent about their cat ownership status. This includes, but is not limited to, disclosing whether you own a cat, the name(s) of your cat(s), and any relevant cat-related information that may be pertinent to your interactions on the platform. Failure to comply with this very (not) legally-binding clause may result in absolutely nothing happening.

Developer Terms and Conditions
By contributing to the development of Almora, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Use of Almora (or Almora adjacent) branding
The Almora Streaming Project consists of either pre-existing open-source infrastructure, or applications developed in-house. You may not use Almora's name, logo, or any other branding elements in any way that suggests an endorsement or affiliation with Almora without prior written permission from the Almora team. Unless you do actually have an endorsement or affiliation with the Almora service and its staff team. You may, however, use the name "Almora" in a descriptive manner to refer to the service or project, as long as it is clear that you are not claiming any official association with Almora.
You may not:
- Rehost or fork the Almora service while retaining Almora branding or confusingly similar branding and design.
- Create derivative logos bymodifying, reversing, or slightly altering Almora's visual identityIn other words, don't "KOᗡI Cable Network" me.
- Use Almora branding to mislead users about the origin or affiliation of your service.
2. Contribution Guidelines
Contributing to Almora is open to everyone. By contributing, you agree that your contributions will be licensed under the same open-source license as the project. You also acknowledge that the Almora team has the right to review, modify, and reject any contributions that do not meet our quality standards or that violate our code of conduct.
3. Policy on AI-Generated Code
Almora encourages the responsible use of AI-generated code. By contributing code with the assistance of Large Language Models (LLMs), you agree to comply with our guidelines and ensure that the code meets our quality standards.
- Clearly indicate which parts of your contribution are AI-generated. Either via inline comments, commit messages, or straight up just tell us.
- AI-generated code must and will be reviewed by the author and the Almora team to ensure it meets quality standards and does not introduce any security or ethical concerns.
- There is a contrast between AI-generated and AI-assisted code. Contributors shall not present completely AI-generated code verbatim without proof of human judgment and intervention ("AI slop").
Community Staff Terms and Conditions
By joining the Almora staff team, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Role and Responsibilities
As a member of the Almora staff team, you are expected to contribute to the maintenance and development of the service, as well as assist with community management and support. You may be assigned specific tasks or projects based on your skills and interests.
2. Code of Conduct
All staff members are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that promotes a positive and inclusive community environment. This includes treating all users with respect, refraining from harassment or discrimination, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
3. Confidentiality
As a staff member, you may have access to sensitive information about the service and its users. You are expected to maintain the confidentiality of this information and not disclose it to unauthorized parties.
4. Voluntary Participation
Participation in the Almora staff team is voluntary. You may choose to leave the team at any time, and your decision will be respected. As Almora is a non-commercial, community-driven project, staff members are not compensated for their contributions, and there are no contractual or financial obligations associated with being a staff member.
